KEVIN SHEENE Singer & Guitarist
Super SoloSounds The Poacher, Portishead on Fri 13th Mar 09
Kev Sheene, what a great gig! This guy has played at the Poacher a few times but seems to get better each time. He is gigging regularly around the Bristol area, don't miss him. He used to be in the Sounds of the Jam, a tribute to mod Brit music (not really my music) so I wasn't that hopeful. However, a cracking musician, good voice, great timing. He does acoustic versions (just him, a acoustic guitar and a mike!) of Jam anthems like Town called Malice, David Watts, Going Underground and finishing with That's Entertainment. In between, we were treated to cracking versions of Valerie, Babylon and other more modern classics. All in all, a great night at a tidy pub. Well done!

Cross Keys (Hollyguest Road, Hanham)
"Always a popular night with the locals, a great mix of music and songs old and new. The acoustic versions of classic numbers that Kev does is a nice change and makes the performance a little different from the norm".

The Lamb Inn
We always have a great night when Kev plays here, good banter with the crowd, excellent songs, and works especially well in the summer outside in the beer garden creating a great atmosphere for a live gig.
